Alice Winn
has been trashing archetypes for close to 30 years. She carriers with her a host of virtual exhibitions in the famous museums of the world and now brings her skewed but potent aesthetic to the Steel City. She has danced with the best, loved with the worst, and intends to spray her essence over as much free territory as still exists in the western world. “But seriously, folks, I have studied at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and University of California at Santa Cruz. My works have appeared in galleries in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and the British Isles, as well as in poetry journals coast to coast. They have also been featured on the San Francisco Bay Area television show The Shameless Hussy Review. This current collection of sketches combines portraits/figure studies with subtitles that reflect the subjects’ interior thoughts/emotional histories.”
