“My modus operandi is to look look look, look some more, and then I take the shot. I am not a point-and-click photographer, but rather I decide what I want to see long before I ever frame the shot. I think I walk through life looking at EVERYTHING as a viewer would look at a piece of art or a photograph. “When shooting other people or things, I create the shot in camera. When I am shooting myself, I sometimes have to give the illusion that I have created the shot in camera by the way I crop it, etc. I have been told I ‘have an eye’; all I know is I SEE. I often see a shot before I ever set up for it, and then I shoot until I get what I see in my mind’s eye.”
