The Work of Women
Jan 4 - Feb 15, 2003
Blue Ruin Gallery, Pittsburgh

Once again, Blue Ruin Gallery has gathered together the work of a number of female artists. In this multifaceted exhibit featuring the work of 14 local, national, and international artists, Blue Ruin strives to show the variety of meanings that erotica holds for different people. The show was based on the following quote from Anais Nin: “Linking eroticism emotion... personalizing, individualizing, that will be the work of women,” which reminds us that a femine perspective is not necessarily a traditionally romantic one.
